School Day

School start time

For Reception to Year Six, the school gates open at 8:45 am and lessons begin at 9:00 am.

For Nursery children, the school day begins at 9:00am.

Finishing times

  • EYFS (Nursery and Reception) finish their school day at 3:15 pm.
  • All other years finish at 3:30 pm.

Timetable - Early Years

8:45am - 'Soft Start' (teachers will prepare activities to help children settle in to the day - these may include reading, handwriting and quick maths activities)

9:00am - Register and Phonics

9:40am - Discovery Time, Group Activities and Carpet sessions 

11:40am - LUNCH

12:40pm - Discovery Time, Group Activities and Carpet sessions  (including snack time)

3:15pm - End of the Day

Timetable - Years One to Six

9:00am - Register and First teaching session (likely to to encompass two lessons, generally 'core' learning in Maths and/or English)

10:30am - BREAK

10:45am - Second teaching session (generally 'core' learning in Maths and/or English)

12:00pm - LUNCH

1:00pm - Register and Third teaching session (likely to encompass two learning areas)

3:30pm - End of the Day

Weekly Assemblies

Monday, 3:00pm - Gospel Assembly

Wednesday, 3:00pm - Class Assemblies (led by different classes; families welcome)

Friday, 9:05am - Celebration Assembly

Lateness

It is important that children arrive to school on time.  Late arrival not only causes anxiety to your child but disruption to their education and that of others in the class.

Absence

If your child is absent from school for any reason, please let the office know by 9:00 a.m. Please report all absences by leaving a messaging (press 1 to report absence).

Home contact information

Parents are required to help us keep a record of addresses, places of work, telephone numbers and emergency contacts.  The school must be notified of any changes to the information provided in order that these records are kept up-to-date.  It may be necessary to contact you urgently if your child is taken ill or has had an accident.
